AIS Experience

The AIS Edge Web-based complete intervention management system was developed by Broome-Tioga BOCES, with 25-plus years experience in Special Education Management Systems. Our systems have been used to track AIS since the initiative's adoption by the NYS Department of Education.

All of our software is developed using the cost-effective sharing of services model, allowing your Regional Information Center to offer the AIS Edge software to districts with no licensing fees.

RTI Experience

With the new initiative to reduce referrals to Special Education, our mission has been targeted to developing a complete Response to Intervention tool for districts.  This component has been developed in conjunction with a well known expert in the field of education, Dr. James McDougal, Assistant Professor, at the State University of New York at Oswego, and several New York state school districts who have developed their own local RTI processes.

Our RTI component allows for Universal Screenings, creating local district cut scores, developing curriculum goals at each grade level for each skill area, researching and applying Interventions for the specific skills, and Progress Monitoring.  Each level is carefully scored with detailed graphing of data to give a quick and thorough view of each student’s progress.  Our RTI component allows educators to make true data-driven decisions in the education of all students.
