What is AIS?
Academic Intervention Services (AIS) is a program of supplemental
instruction beyond the general curriculum to help students at risk of
not achieving New York State Learning Standards. These services are designed
to improve academic performance and may include academic, guidance, counseling,
attendance, and study skills.
School districts in New York State are required by NYS Department of Education to have a plan describing the criteria for identification as well as strategies for implementation of AIS services.
